Not sure which one to get..they dont seem much different, which one will last me in the long run? I also heard that the iPhone 5 scratches pretty easy?

I can get a brand new 4S for like 200, where as a 5 would cost me 500/600..which should i get and why?

Hi John,

They're both great handsets and as you would imagine have fairly similar features so choosing the best handset for you will be down to which ever features you deem to be the most important. Both the 4S & the iPhone 5 have a 8MP camera and a 326ppi display which offers fantastic image quality and screen resolution - great for both taking photos and using your iPhone to browse the next. Both phones also have the Facetime feature & the Siri Voice Assistant - something which is great if you're busy or on the move!

However, the iPhone 5 is an upgraded handset from the iPhone 4S & has a 1.2MP Facetime camera where as 4S's front facing camera offers only VGA resolution. The iPhone 5 is also considerably lighter, longer and thinner than its predecessor weighing only 112g - the iPhone 4S weighs in at 140g. The iPhone 5 you also offers 4G connectivity if you so wish, meaning faster download speeds. There has been reports of the iPhone 5 scratching, but they're are loads of really great cases you can buy for them now to help prevent any damage that might occur from general every day usage.

The best thing you can do is read around them both a bit more and make your decision that way.If you want to have a look at the iPhone 5 specifications more then here is the link to the iPhone 5 page: http://www.phones4u.co.uk/apple/iphone-5

Hope that helps you :)

The iPhone 5 most likely. The three biggest alterations between the 4s and the 5 are: 1. New lightning connector. Getting the 4S would make you even less suitable with future contraptions given that Apple will be ditching the ancient 30-pin connector. 2. The speed difference. The speed difference between the four and 4s wasn't dangerous, but the change between the 4S and 5 is surely obvious. The web, apps, boot time and overall performance throughout the 5 is quite rapid! I am nonetheless pleasantly surprised at times despite the fact that I've had my iPhone 5 for roughly a month now. 3. Display measurement. Films and youtube videos look undoubtedly gorgeous on the iPhone 5. Seeing that youtube makes use of a sixteen:9 ratio, and the iPhone 5 makes use of that as well, you get the complete display in your videos and it is a significant step up. The speakers are additionally much louder and clearer. I in finding myself observing youtube rather more by and large on my iPhone 5 now, for the reason that of the pace and clarity. I might say get the iPhone 5 considering the fact that it's a very impressive telephone.

Considering there are BETTER phones than both the UBER priced IP4S and IP5, which are NEW (phones toothbrushes NEW) please take the time to read this short answer thanks

re iPhones NOT OVERRATED JUST seriously OVERPRICED

The price paid or tariffs commanded (no demanded) by iPhones...on any every network defy logic and gravity

4th paragraph ( and NOT the phrase I would use!)

http://www.itproportal.com/2012/09/06/8gb-iphone-4s-version-be-introduced-iphone-5-launch/

re IP4S / IP5

When the dust settles the IP5 will turn out to be a thinner, lighter, faster iPhone4S and the 1st phone that typically breaches the £1K contract tariff] another Dual-Core phone from Apple There are ONLY 3 new features on the IP5 not on the IP4S and it is still Dual Core

Opinions are just that so in addition Yahoo reporter sourced Information from Business Insider ! http://finance.yahoo.com/news/8-things-the-iphone-5-still-can-t-do.html

(Which both the SGS III & SGS II can do as opposed to do do )

The Best Phone and Best Dual Core phone of 2011 is the SGS 2. So here is something SAMSUNG did copy! The SGS 3 is picking up the same awards as the SGS 2 did, one of the 3 so far won T3 Phone Of The Year http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/mobile-phones/9595493/Samsung-Galaxy-SIII-beats-Apples-iPhone-4S-at-T3-Awards.html

At one time an iPhone was the must have, but scratch the surface ( IP5 aluminium back does real easy BTW) and there is very little being offered by Apple, eg the Iphone 4 was in 2010 the FIRST iPhone to have camera flash? no way..... way!

That aside here is the GSMArena [World #1 mobile phone site and like Which, REVIEW AFTER TESTING ] if I write any more you will guess the ending, no surprise winners....oops IP4S - v - SGS II http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4212&idPhone2=3621

The SGS 2 32GB and memory card £31.00 (so16gb + 32gb 48GB on board)

IP5 32GB costs £599.00 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-32GB-Class-Micro-Essential/dp/B005FY61EK/ref=sr_1_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1355311389&sr=1-3

£200.00 for a new IP4S is NOT the price new..
