Jailbroken iphone 2G lost connection to net on Vodafone?

Question

As the title says, it was working fine, and then suddenly lost connection. When opening Safari or trying to use an App it says "Cannot connect to cellular data network" or something similar.

Does anyone know what I've done wrong? I've checked all the settings and everything seems normal.

Any ideas welcome.

Oooh...that sucks, but there are a couple of easy solutions.

The first is just turn your phone off and turn it back on. That will likely work most times. If that doesnt work, i would try it again because it usually does. So if u still have no luck, go to SETTINGS>GENERAL>RESET>RESET NETWORK SETTINGS. That will reset all of the network settings and restart the phone **Be aware that this will reset the settings for the wireless network as well as WIFI, so you will lose any saved passwords for wifi networks, so you will have to reenter them next time your connect.



If that doesnt work, try taking the im card out. Im not sure if the iphone 2g had the sim 'removal tool' or not, but if it did, it was in the box and it looks really weird and out of place piece of bent metal. If it doesnt, just bend a thin paper clip, or anything else really thin. So now that you got that you need to open the sim card holder thing. On the top of the phone between the headphone jack and the hold button is a very small hole. slide the paperclip or other removal tool into the hole and a little 'tray' will pop out that holds the sim card. just take the sim card out and put it back in the tray..and then slide the whole tray thing back into the phone



That really should work, if it doesnt restore it through itunes or take it to apple and they will make it work or give you a new one...gl!
