So I have an Samsung f400 and last thursday, I took out my memory card, as I usually do every night to put some more songs on it, and when i put it back in my phone again, it won't read it. The memory card icon would just stay orange, and it is supposed to turn blue when it has successfully read it. I turned off+on my phone again and it would just stay orange. I tried it in my moms Tocco Lite and it would read it fine. But on my phone it would not read anything, so I cannot access anything on it. about an hour ago, I took it out and put it in for the billionth time to see if it will work. Instead of it usually coming up with the memory card symbols, it came up with.
'memory card has an unrecognized format
Reformatting now will erase all data
Reformat now?'
Yes/No

So I don't want to lose everything on it, what should I do????
btw on another question like this, someone said to go into settings>memory settings.memory card settings but it is just transparent, so you cant click on it.
Please helpp????

You didn't take proper precautions while taking the memory card out of the computer. It has happened to me many times. You have got no option other than to format it.From the next time firstly right click on the memory card drive after going to my computer & then click on eject before taking the memory card out to prevent falling into this type of situation again.

You can take out memory card from phone and then connect memory card to computer with a card reader, then follow this step by step guide

http://www.asoftech.com/articles/memory-card-data-recovery.html

The guide tells how to recover files from memory card which shows "unrecognized format" error, support memory card from Samsung f400 phone.

Copy off anything you want to keep from the card then buy a new one. The card is failing and formatting it will only work for a short time.
