What is the difference between Restricted versus private numbers on cell phone calls?

I keep getting phone calls at all hours of the night from a restricted number on my cell phone. It is bugging me, and I don't know what a "restricted" number is.

2)Unknown Number

3)Blocked Number

4)Restricted Number or Call.

unavailable is usually a pay phone or a company who is not listed. Restriced is when someone has restricted there # from you or have unlisted their number. weird that the call hangs up when you answer it. Could be your crazy ex calling from a pay phone?? Call the operator and ask them to trace the call as this person is harrassing you i think it'll cost you a couple of dollars or so but it will be worth it to find out who keeps bugging you!
