droid x v.s droid 2, which one do you think is better?

so im going to upgrade my phone soon and verizon just came out with droid 2. so now im having a hard time choosing which phone i want. droid 2 or droid x. which one do you think is overall the best

I went to the Verizon store sold on buying the Droid X because after reading tons of reviews stating it was the best android phone out as of August 2010. Don't get me wrong it is the best Android phone but has one "big" issue. Although the phone is great in my opinion it is too big, especially for men, to carry in their pocket comfortably. That being said I went with the 2nd best option and purchased the Droid 2 because I liked the improved keyboard as well as the phone running the latest software. The only difference is the Droid X has a 7 mp camera compared to the Droid 2's 5mp camera, bigger screen, records video in HD and has an HDMI port. That being said the phones are pretty close if you're not into video. Most reviews online agree that the Droid 2 is the best Android phone with a physical keyboard. I hoped this helps!

Excellent Question!! These are both excellent phones and the breakdown between to 2 comes down specifically to what you need



The motorola droid 2 is running Froyo, which is the 2.2 version of the android os. It is much faster then the 2.1 software which is currently running on the droid x (however the droid x will be receiving the 2.2 update sometime in early september.) The motorola droid 2 has a 1ghz processor, which is the same as the motorola droid x. The droid 2 has a 5mp camera with a dual led flash wheras the droidx has a 8mp camera with dual led flash. The droid2 can record video but the droidx can record video in 720p, and has an hdmi jack to plug directly into a tv with an hdmi port. The only other main difference between these 2 devices is that the droid2 has a 3.7 in screen with a full redesigned slideout keyboard, wheras the droidx has a 4.3 full touch screen.



I personally have the droidx and love it, but like I said. It comes down to what you want to be able to do on your phone, and if you need the upgrades that the droid x has to offer.

The Droid 2's keyboard is massive if you're used to a keyboard, besides the undeniable fact that the Droid X's show is so large you'll not have a situation adjusting to the on show keyboard. The Droid 2 is rated with extra helpful communicate and standby time. most of the battery potential on the Droid X is spent on the large show.

Get the droid 2, the droid x is TOO BIG. and it is really obnoxious sometimes, since its so big. droid 2 is a perfect size.
