how do i know if my phone is locked to one particular network?

I am with Orange but wish to transfer to another pay as go go network and it mentions to check whether your phone needs to be unblocked prior to transfer

If you bought your phone on the orange network, chances are its locked to orange. I would ring orange. They should tell you. If you've been with orange for more than 6 months, your phone should be unlocked.

if its locked it will not accept any other sim card ring orange and get them to unlock it or go to ebay and buy a prepaid phone hope this helps
