changing plans online i free for any carrier...
your next bill will be a bit funky... let me dumb this down since ALOT of people still dont understand advanced billing (typical wireless, wireline, cable, satalite etc billing)
say your billing cycle is something simple, like day 1-30.... you change your plan on day 15.... ok this plan costs $60... your old plan was $30... ok? bare with me.......
first, on the next bill, you will see a prorated charge of $30 for day 15-30 of your new plan. I got $30 by doing this simple advanced billing formula that 611 on all carriers used...... $60 for new plan per month.... divded by 30 days in a billing month.... times prorated day (in this case 15 since you changed it on the 15th and you cycle ends on the 30th).... so 60/30x15=$30 prorated charge.....
you will also see an advance bill charge of $60... since everyone is advanced billing....
then you will see a prorated CREDIT of your old plan... which is $15... and you guessed it.... $30/30day x 15 days = $15.... since your advanced billing, last month you already paid for this months cycle, so the carrier owes you back that money since you changed you plan in this mid cycle...
so, in essence, you next bill will be $60 advance, $30 prorated, -$15 prorated credit, another of feature fees, taxes, and walla.....
now you know, and everyone knows the secret to 611 billing answers...
