I have a Treo 600 right now and looking to switch primiarly because the screen and phone quality isn't that great after 3 years of using it. However, I still want a keyboard to write emails and text messages and the great usability featuers from the Treo. I know the Treo 700 (or whatever it is called)is coming out but it is primiarly a Windows CE update. Are Nokia, LG, Samsung, or HP coming out with any good ones?

I know the new Treo is pretty popular with my friends who have them. I think the SAR rating on those things is pretty high though. The Samsung i730 is something I would take a look at. The high speed Ev-DO network that Verizon and Sprint/Nextel offer (400-700Kbps/sec data transfer) aka "wireless broadband" is awesome...I have used it. The Samsung i730 has the ability to take advantage of Ev-DO networks and with the on-board bluetooth, you can use it as a wireless modem for your computer. Cingular is updating their network (slowly) with HSDPA, their 3G answer to Ev-DO, right now in select markets (Dallas is the only one I know of), so if you want high speed wireless, go with Verizon or Sprint/Nextel.

The HP iPAQ hw6515 is out on Cingular. There is always the Treo 650, but I don't know if that would do it for you since you are currently using the Treo 600.

Oh yeah, the Nokia e61 is coming as well.

wait for the sub-$25 models being launched by motorola, nokia & philips. they will all be useful in making calls. for any more features - buy independent gadgets!!!!!!
