can someone recommend a cell phone/plan for me.. i would like to be able to surf the web with true browser, hard keyboard, and ideally unlimited data. of course needs to be able to make phone calls too. what do you recommend. i can spend $200 or so on the phone but of course the cheaper the better.

true browser requirement seems to eliminate blackberry based on my experience (bb browser can't support frames), and the hard keyboard requirement eliminates iphone (i can never type virtually with my fat fingers).

thanks!!!

The best phone ever of all time are the sidekick series phone offered by t-mobile. The Sidekick Slide is 199.99 with a new two year contract. It is like having a computer with the best in web browsing and a great hard plastic keyboard. The phone it self is very stylish. You can buy the sidekick unlimited package for $20.00 a month extra which allows you to browse the web, text, e-mail, and IM included unlimited. The sidekick LX is similar although is a little bigger, better screen, and rubber keyboard. The sidekick 3 is cheaper on ebay and is great phone. Compare the phones and see which one of the 3 you like. All 3 have the same data plan. Hope this helps and let this be your best answer.

Definitely go for t-mobile if you want mostly media. Their reception isn't always the greatest, but if you get a sidekick they've got a great media plan. For best reception, though, go for AT&T... their monthly costs are a little bit more pricey as is the media package, but from what I've heard their internet is a little faster. If you don't like any of the phones they show on their site, you could always buy a phone directly from a company like LG, it should work as long as it's got GSM capability.

I cannot recommend a particular plan because I live in the UK. However, I have the htc XDA trion which has a keyboard and browser. You can also install other browsers if the one that is already there isn't good enough. It is a pocket pc.
