It really depends what you want from your cell phone service. To tell you my personal experience, I live on hills in a Los Angeles sub-urban neighborhood and I've used Sprint, Cingular, T-Mobile, and Verizon. Cingular and T-mobile had the worst reception. Calls get disconnected on average once every 20 minutes. Sprint has weak reception in my neighborhood but has clear calls and few disconnects. Sprint also have very good customer service. Verizon Wireless is the most expensive but by far the best in quality, connection, and reliability.
For students who want fad phones and low priced plans, I would recommend Cingular or T-Mobile. They also offer the best and trendest phones. Note that the trade-off is connection quality. I would recommend Verizon for older adults and business people who prefer the reliability. Hope it helps. Good luck and have a nice day!

Depends on your location, but if in the US Verizon Wireless is best.
From your question, I can't tell if you meant service or devices - if you mean devices, Motorolla or Nokia hands down. Motorolla has excellent speakerphones and Nokia's take quite a beating if you are tough on your devices.

Verizon Wireless is the best because they are the most reliable. I've had most of the services around, but they have been by far the best. I had Nextell recently and couldn't get service in my house. Now I have Verizon and its crystal clear.

Verizon has okay service but Cingular stepped up where I live.
I'm leaving Verizon for Cingular for rollover minutes and
because Verizon phones are CDMA and you can't switch phones..
They don't use SIM cards, Cingular phones do.
You may be right

I think they are all the same, you just pick the one that has a good coverage that you are looking for and a price that you like or according to how many minutes you need.
