can the iphone send music via bluetooth to another bluetooth enabled phone?

ok so my dad has the iphone, and since i dont want to buy a data cable i decided to use his. i have the lg shine, and i want to put a ringtone i created onto it but i do not have a bluetooth enabled computer. so if i put the ringtone on my dad's iphone, could i send it to myself through a bluetooth connection? thanks!

No the iPhone can only transmit a wireless signal to capture a network. It can not host its own network that would let you transfer information from device to device.



If you have MAC you can try sending the ringtone via iSync. That would transmit via the Computer's individual network and transmit it to your phone.



If you have Windows there's no way unless you sync it via iTunes or Active Sync. It can not be done wirelessly unless you create a network via Control Panel>Network and Internet Connection> Wireless Network

1) iPhone has a specific ringtone format that no phone uses.

2) Bluetooth on the iPhone is restricted to calling only...you can't even play music through the bluetooth headset.



3) So no =(. Everyone's hoping Apple will remove the restriction in a future update (it's only a software limitation as opposed to a hardware one)
