Error 2112 - Sprint LG?

Everytime I recieve a text message this is the response I get... anyone else get this? Help?

Me too! It started around 11:00. about an hour ago. And its got me really worried. It was working perfectly fine beforehand.



None of you have had anyluck finding out what's going on?

What is the number for Customer Care?

Glad to know it isn't me. I've been on hold with sprint for 20minutes now (which is normal for their bad customer service). When I get an answer I'll edit and let you know whats up.



As for what the other poster said about calling, where I'm at its 10pm, a text message is quieter then making a call and wont necessarily wake everyone else up.



edit: getting close to 30min on hold. I'm going to be a jerk and requested a pro-rated refund for every hour this problem is not fixed. After all I pay $110 a month for unlimited talk, text and data so I expect non-interrupted service for that price.









Turns out to be a nationwide outage. When asked about the refund they said they will be giving a credit to my account. The girl claimed I was her 50th call about this, so I guess she is getting tired of all of it.

No luck yet with texts coming back online for me. I'm in Minnesota, and I've got an LG LX370, but from all the other responses here it looks like the problem is not phone-specific or region-specific.



Best of luck to anyone trying to get a call thru to Sprint cust. serv...they're famously slow at getting to people anyways, and I'm sure everyone is trying to get thru right now.

I started getting error 2112 like less than an hour ago n I turned off my phone and turned back on and I sent one txt and then the error again.HTC Hero Sprint Lake Charles, Louisiana

I'm on a palm pre in ca. It seems sprint has a problem and I'm sure it will be back up soon. Just like a server going down. I'm sure you can't get through to them as they are all shittin briks trying to get the problem solved. We just all have to be calm. Its just texting. Lets be real people if you really need to contact someone just call like we used to do years ago. The phone still works lol.

that happened to me last night about 10 pm, and it didn't start working again till about 6 in the morning.

is anyone else really effing tired of sprint?

this is the second phone ive gotten from sprint [the first being the LG rumor, and it had major issues], and my contract comes up in march, im not going to renew with them.

this is so ridiculous, im beyond pissed off at sprint.

I just got off the phone with Quincy at Sprint and there has been a network issue with texting and some internet access also.



They are working to get it fixed. It should be fixed within the next few hours. I



t's not us as the users its Sprints network that is having the issues.

If you have sprint (which I'm assuming we all do, lol ;) ) The number for customer service is *2, and there's gonna be a looong wait to get through, good luck! I've been having the same problem here in good ol' Oregon

I'm having the exact same problem. I have a Samsung on the Sprint network - started right around eleven and I keep getting disconnected from customer support (St. Louis, MO)

omg im totally searching all over the internet with the same question! i have a spring LG rumor, thje only diff is i only get it when i send a text.. i think. now that you say receive...it might be when i receive a message. its so weird and jsut starting happening to me a few minutes ago. tried turniong my phone off, no difference. im concerned. i have already had huge problems with the rumor and jsut want a new NON LG phone. grr >:(

Well you see everyone the problem is:

I tried to send a text and it sends me that message that says its a network setup error. What does does that mean??

Okay, I don't feel bad...I see I am not the only one with this problem..I got a Blackberry Curve and I live in Saint Louis, this started about 1 hour ago for me...I hope it is back up soon bc I am over here freaking out..LOL!!Texting is my life..I love being connected and this is worst than losing electricity..LMAO!!And they call it The Now Network...I want my Network NOW..LOL!!!

Same thing is happening to me when I send a text, Kansas. This sucks I'm a huge texter haha. It's probably a Sprint thing, hopefully they'll fix it soon.

im having the same problem it was working fine, then all of a sudden it **** out lol. i got a few messages out but most of the time its just an error code 2112.. its really annoying. any ideas?

This just happen to me a few minutes ago. I tried to fwd. the text and I got the same 2112 response back 3 times. I tried to update the firmware in the settings options and there was nothing to update. I tried the ol' turn off my phone and then back on and now it is working??????

Glad Oregon is back up. Just got off the phone with tech support after a 30min wait. All he told me was we "will be back up 1st thing in the morning". Text server is down. (Los Angeles CA)
