I think my husband is lying about a text message that he sent me, is there any chance that he might not be?

I got a text message from my husbands phone yesterday evening and he swears up and down that he didn't send it. I'm totally clueless about cell phones, so please don't laugh. Is there any way that someone could have hacked into his phone, or could an old message have been delayed, or is there anything other explanation other than the fact that he is either very forgetful or lying? I promise you that I'm not going to be mad if the answer is no. I just want to know. Thank you for answering.

i'm afraid that i need more info- what phone does he have? if it has bluetooth, then it is possible that it was hacked. if it does, then the next step is to ask where he was and if he had bluetooth on.

the delayed messages problem could be true too- messages can be delayed, if you didn't have your phone on, or he turned his phone off just when it was sending the message, or if he went out of mobile connection range when the message was being sent, or he ran out of battery @ the same time, or you ran out of battery. another thing that could've happened is that he didn't keep an eye on it and his phone was "borrowed" by someone near him and they sent a message without permission as a joke. it's happened to me. and of course, the last option is possible too- that he just forgot. but he lying thing? i doubt he would lie about sending a message. of course, i don't know him, and i don't know you, so i am not one to judge. it's not such a big deal anyway.

texts dont always work flawlessly, some get delayed and some just get mixed up i think. my friend yesterday said i sent him a message that said "soon" and i didnt even send a message that day.

I will tell you like i tell my girlfriend. when texting gets confusing pick up the phone and put it to your ear and clear things up. if he says he didnt send it and you trust him then just drop it. granted i dont know what the text said but is it really that big of a deal in the long run?

call the cell provider and tell them you want a detailed bill for that month. they will emiail or mail you a detailed bill and you should be able to see all the calls made and received and whether they were text or not.

if you have onlinje billing you can check there also.

SMS foul ups happen. I've received texts that weren't meant for me. It's not very common but it does happen.
