I used to use Vodafone's excellent free download but they it is not compatible with Office 2007 and they have no plans to upgrade it. I have just had notification that BTinternet is going to discontinue its service too.

There are many websites that allow you to send a free text message or SMS from your desktop computer/ laptop to any mobile. Most companies like Google offer this service in a few countries only. My husband deploys international huge and this is devoid of spending a dime. set up via a corporation that thoroughly is conscious the army. this is the terrific invention ever in case you have somebody removed from domicile. All you want is a webcam and a microphone and this is like they are in the different room, oh, and did I point out, this is unfastened!!!. you will pay a small month-to-month cost and the guy in the different united states can use their computing gadget to call you right here on the telephone. oh yeah, AND this is unfastened!!!

I go with x~x at the top, cbfsms.com, alas not 100% reliable you might have to try a couple of times to send your free (137 max character) SMS but it gets there in the end.

I use my network site.. i think most of em give you 300 free texts on ur online account, u jus type your text from the site..its free ! completly! no downloads.. but i live in Ireland, so might not be the same if you live some other country..

Yahoo messanger has an SMS option and its always free

only thing is your restricted to the size of message .

You can register for free.

There are other places you can do this but this is the only one I trust.
