Hi

I have an orange iPhone contract , but i am now using a microsim adapter and have the sim card in my samsung galaxy S2. I have a 750mb data allowance as I believe if i got over that I will be charged up to £5 for each 500mb of data i use outside of my allowance.

I know orange charge for tethering your phone to your computer for internet access when you are actually using the iphone for it.

If I was to connect my phone to my laptop and tether with it would orange charge me or be able to find out ? or would it just come out of my inclusive data allowance?

Thanks

if its on your computer and you have wifi i thought your own wi fi was free if you used it on your phone so why should it be different connecting the phone to the computer

From my experience phone carriers can figure out if you're tethering or not.
