Ok so I have an android (galaxy s5) and use to have a galaxy s4. So I've been android for two years. Prior to that I had an iPhone 4 and 5. So I experienced both worlds. I know what I'll miss out if I go back to iPhone but I'll also know what I'll gain from iPhone. Keep in mind I currently own a macbook and an iPad.

since you have so many apple devices, i think it would be easier for you buy an iPhone, just so you have icloud and all that stuff. I know the 6 and the 6+ are out, but budget wise, the 5s may just be the better choice if you choose iPhone. I'm not a big fan of the iPHone 6, and now that the iPhone 6s or the iPhone 7, i'm scared to see how far back apple has traveled. Sorry, this is just me right now, but apple is going the wrong way as far as technology. thinner, is not better, a huge bending sheet of metal, is not better, more random crap, is not better... That's why i would suggest the 5s, cause it's cheaper, looks nicer, i believe has a better battery, and still works with along with all your other apple device.

But if you are on a budget, i would go with android. Right now, the best buy is either a lg g4 or a oneplus one. the lg g4 is going for sale, at my carrier at least, for around $400. That's really good considering that it has the best screen, running at 2k, the best camera. yup, better than samsung, faster than an iPhone. and it's just a nice phone. it still has the removable back. Only issue is, the battery life is kinda dull. Well, then again, what modern smartphone doesn't have a dull battery... The other best buy is the oneplus one. It is still good. and for $299, you can buy the 64 gb version, so that's a really good deal. Since every smartphone is not perfect, the flaw is the touchscreen. i don't know how well the issue has been addressed, and i don't know if there's a fix for it yet, but there's a touch screen issue with the oneplus one.

These are, just my opinions and views.

Neither Android nor iOS is better. Its all a matter of personal preferences and choice. As you have so many Apple devices an iPhone would fit right into your eco-system but if you are heavy on customization go for android.

As for the best android phone I think none of the 2015 flagships make the cut. You might want to sit this year out and replace your phone next year or buy an iPhone. But if you do want an android and that too this year's device then Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge might be the best one. Just try and use it to see if you are comfortable with its Edge Display.

In my opinion, I'd get an iPhone if I were you, the reason is that if you own that many Apple products an iPhone would like to fit in the "your apple product group" because as you know iPhone is able to connect with these products you have, e.g. You can sync your iPhone to your Mac, restore all your data through iCloud. This is just the beginning for iPhone but if you want to get an android, there is really no point in having Apple products, android isn't compatible with them. I personally think that Apple is 100x better than androids, does it lag ? No. does it freeze? No. iPhone is way smarter than a laggy android. I use Apple products only, iPhone, MacBook, iPad, iPod. Apple everything. After 1 year of android, I learned my lesson! Never get an android! I chose Apple, you should get an iPhone 5s or a 6 ( 5s is just a 6 in the body of a 5).

I used to have an Iphone for 2 years and then a Windows phone for 2 more years. Now I own the One Plus One Android device. I have to say Windows was my favorite operating system but the Android devices where so much more expensive. The only thing going for the iPhone is facetime is used by a lot more people than the Android equivalent.

Go with Apple. They have longer battery life and you want all your devices to blend right? Mac+Ipad=Iphone

Windows PC+Android Tablet= Android Phone

That's my advice. NOW, in a heavily biased opinion, i would not get Crapple for anything. I'm pro android and windows/linux. The majority of Iphone and Ipad apps require a payment, they are less durable then Androids and they basically suck all the way around, but hey, you asked for an unbiased answer so I gave both biased and unbiased. :))) Have fun shopping. Best Wishes to you, happy thanksgiving, merry christmas, happy new year!

iPhone 6S comes out in September and is twice as strong as the 6.

From there it's up to you to get the Plus size or not.

Why would you want a phone whose hardware developer is different from the software developer?

iPhones also have a higher resell value than Androids do.

iPhones also don't need RAM optimizing like some Androids do over time.

You would really be better off with an iPhone. Apple makes it so all their stuff works seamlessly together. You could still do things like see your texts on your Macbook with an Android phone using an alternative app, but it wouldn't be as easy/simple as it would be with an iPhone. As others have stated, since you are already so into the Apple ecosystem, you'd be better off with an iPhone. I've tried both worlds as well. I originally started with iPhones, but then switched to the Galaxy S3 and have been Android ever since. I still own an iPad myself, but I don't use it nearly as much as my Android tablet. I've been with Android so long now that I can't really see myself going back to iPhone unless they added removable storage - that would win me back. As for the best phones, I would recommend the Note 4 or LG G4. Anyway, I still say Apple.

In general I prefer the android just because for each iphone there is out, there is also a specific charger that goes to it, which I guarantee you nobody else will have. Iphones also break fairly easily and if your a klutz like me, you will drop it once and that will be the end of it. Androids are nice because I remember the dozens of times my battery died without my charger and when you ask to borrow everyone uses the universal charger, not the Iphone 3g6 that only uses that one type of charger that you just so happen to only have one of. I currently use a waterproof xperia Z, so I would think Sony is a phone that is really under appreciated.

Personally, I'd go for Android because the apps on the app store nearly all of them are free, you can do so much more on them, they are more easier to personalize and make your own. Whereas for iPhone, the OS is stunning, the layout of the phones, etc. The devices are beautifully designed. But the downside for iPhone is that they are ALOT more fragile, and i mean ALOT. If you're a butterfingers like I am then go for android, they are built alot better

Well you are one of the people who's tried the best of both worlds. Well let me see, you already have a Macbook and an iPod so you already have part of the Apple ecosystem. I personally am an Android person but I would have no problem going to iPhone. I say you go to iPhone the reason for this is because you had previous experience and you already own part of the ecosystem of Apple products. If you go with the iPhone you would get a seamless experience from your iPhone to your Macbook to your iPod.

I may be a tad biased, but I'd say go Android. After having experience with both, I don't want to go back to iOS. Also, among the Android phones, the best would be the LG G4, Samsung Galaxy S6, OnePlus 2, Motorola Moto X Style (Pure in the US). Or the Moto G if you're on a tight budget

To be honest, I was sceptical before trying my first iPhone but ever since I've sort of gotten used to the "limitations". I was annoyed by the missing drag and drop function for music and movies but nowadays I stream most of it anyway.

I keep hearing from friends how great their new Samsung is but that happiness only last about half a year. I've heard on several occasions that their Samsung kept breaking down one way or another. The battery also seems to wear out quicker than iPhone batteries. I am not saying that the iPhone will work til the end of time, but to me it seems that they actually hold up better than Samsungs. I'd go with the iPhone.

Samsung Galaxy S 6 Edge is the best Android phone out there. A word of advice. Never upgrade the firmware if you want the phone to work forever, else it would go kaput after 2 years, regardless of whether you root it or not. S6 Edge beats IPhone 6 in all aspects. Looks, feel, technology, camera quality, screen resolution. You name it, S6 Edge has it.

I have an iPhone 6 Plus and I am in love with it but of course iPhones are not very good quality so if you want good quality get an android.

I think you may already have the best phone on the market (since S6 doesn't have a removable battery) but I hear that people with other apple products like the way the iPhone works with them.

You might want to wait because if GoogleFi comes to your area it currently only uses Nexus 6

I am pretty sure you have the best phone already but if your changing phone companies and need a new phone my wife is happy with her iPhone 6 even if email is the only smartphone feature she regularly uses.

My mom has a Samsong Galaxy S5 and my older brother and sister have iPhones (I have a dumb phone). I INFINITELY prefer Apple products over Android. The layout of the phone is much easier to understand and the apps are labeled more clearly and logically. It's also much faster. But overall it's your opinion and whatever fits you best.

As you already live somewhat in the iOS "world", I would suggest an iPhone. Yes, you could save money by purchasing an excellent mid-range Android device, but an iPhone would complement and work with your other devices easier.

well there are 2 things to consider when buying a new phone .style and functionality. most people buy iphone because they think it is a status symbol and they want to showoff their phone . but in case of android , people buy android because they want functionality rather than the looks.

if you're a simple person go with the simple iphone. If you are more tech saavy and no your way through ui's then android is the way to. currently the best sndroid in the market is the samsung galaxy s6 and s6 edge.

I would stick to what you're used to.....personally, I started with an iPhone, and tried a Galaxy for a year and didn't like it, but my friend started with android, and tried switching to iPhone and didn't like it. It all depends on what you want in your phone, though.

Depends what you mainly use your phone for. If you just play occasional games, text and call, just get an iPhone. If you want to jailbreak/root the new phone you choose just know its much much easier to root an android device.

Why do people keep posting this question? It's been asked countless times.

https://answers.yahoo.com/search/search_result?fr=uh3_answers_vert_gs&type=2button&p=android%20or%20iphone

It seems perverse that people who admit to having smartphones - and pay extra to have mobile internet - can;t handle a simple internet search that would find all that information related to your question.

Common sense would dictate that you should choose the phone that does what you want and costs no more than you would like to pay, but common sense has never been a standard spec for smartphone owners.

Neither I have a Windows phone and it rocks. You can actually block people without any apps etc. Also lots of other cool stuff those phones don't have. And they also have things this doesn't have, but it's all good. I like mine. Only get it through prepaid service though.
