my phone battery is whack?

the battery meter on my sony ericsson w810i is weird

it says i have a full bettery then the next mintue it says its dying

and right after i fully charge it the battery meter goes all the way down.

it still lasts a whole day or two but it really annoying figuring out if its really dyin or not

so how can i fix it

If you are keeping your phone in your pocket your battery contacts are probably dirty and somewhat corroded from the moisture that accumulates on the contacts. Sand, dirt and water can do damage to those contacts. Take the battery out and wipe the contacts clean with a dry clean cloth. Rub the contacts in the phone as well. Put the battery back in and it will probably work better.



Also many people charge their phones too often. Run the battery all the way down then charge it and it will last longer on one charge.

Try getting a new battery. If a new battery does not solve this problem your phone may have overheating issues which will drain your battery like a faucet.

I guess its not working right maybe some integrated program is messed up or a meter. check on the manufacturers page.
