Hi there, I am a bit worried about a friend who I have not spoken to for 2 weeks now. Trouble is when I call, the phone rings as usual then if not answered for a bit goes to voicemail as usual. Had no problem sending texts to that number either, as had the delivery report turned on. 2 days ago i called again, and as usual no answer lol. But the odd thing here is that i sent a text straight afterwards, and the delivery report says it hasnt been delivered yet, but was definitely "sent"??? The person's phone is definitely on as i called them this morning and is ringing.... So how come they are not getting my text? The person is with vodafone.... Could it be they are blocking my texts? Should i try texting them again? I dont want to annoy the person though. Or maybe if they are overseas, they wont receive it by network default? Or could it be that their inbox is full? I really dont know, and besides this person hasnt replied to a few emails nor have I seen activity on any of their social working sites. Should I worry? Last i knew this person had a nokia sapphire 8800 arte, but i am not so sure if they have a new phone or not. Please help me out? Thank you x

Hi WEDNESDAY TATLER

This is something that can happen from time to time.

There are a number of reasons taht this could be happening to you:

- the persons phone may not be picking up the network properly

- there may be an issue with your delivery reports

- the other persons inbox could be full.

It would be worth completing a hard reset on your phone (switching the phone on without the sim in for about 10 mins) just in case there are any bugs on your side.

You can also get in touch with 3 who will be able to see if the message was delivered and if not, why not.

Thanks

There could just be a delay in the delivery report coming back. What usually speeds things up is the old trick of leaving the phone on, but taking out the battery for 30 seconds. After those 30 seconds, put the battery back in the phone and turn phone on again. It's a form of resetting the phone without losing any info on it, and something most networks recommend if you call them. Anything dropped usually comes through a few minutes later. If not, there's probably a slight delay in the message reaching the other person's phone, or as i said, just a delay with the delivery reports. Another possibility is that the other person's inbox is full. I've had the same thing happen too whilst texting, and it happened to every friend i was texting. A while later 8 texts came through all at once. There was a queue with delivering the messages, so although they'd been sent, they hadn't yet been recieved by the other person, which meant a delay in reports coming back. Every network will suffer that fate at some point or another..

deliver jointly the names and numbers and contemporary them on your provider. If no longer something happens ask them for the form of the cellular Watchdog/Ombudsman. you may then deliver all the information to them and that they might high quality the callers. stable success.
