No. Not at all. Lets start for one reason Verizon uses a slightly newer cell phone technology. They use CDMA, vs cingulars GSM. Also Verizon puts about 2 billion dollars more than cingular each year. Cingular purchased At&t not Verizon. Verizon purchases small companies monthly. Verizon + cingular = never will happen. I thought the same thing a while back until I asked verizon and Cingular.

Cingular did not buy out Verizon. Cingular purchased AT&T Wireless over 1.5 years ago. Cingular is the largest wireless carrier with something like 54 million customers. They have the largest wireless network, the largest mobile-mobile community (anyone who is Cingular or AT&T with mobile to mobile calling can talk for free), and rollover minutes, an industry first. You may be thinking of SBC and AT&T landline services coming together.

When did that happen? I haven't heard that. does that mean Verizon will start getting some stuff that Cingular has and we will be able to talk to cingular customers for free?
