So last January (2012) I got a white iPhone 4S 16GB from Verizon and I also ordered an otterbox defender case for it. Well, I've had it in that otterbox ever since the 3rd day of owning it (the otterbox arrived late), and I've never taken it out. I'm not one of those immature people who constantly change cases/take the case off their iPhone. Well today I took it out, because my otterbox is falling apart & I got a new case. Somehow there's a crack on the back of my iPhone, where it says "iPhone." How did it get there? This iPhone has rarely ever been dropped and when it has been dropped it was never high enough to break it through an otterbox defender case. Foes anyone have a clue how it got there because I'm a bit pissed.

Maybe pressure was put on it? I guess it will remain a mystery. If it really bothers you then get it repaired. You can get it done quite cheap from a company like this; http://www.phone-hub.co.uk/ They can repair it for a fraction of the cost that apple would charge. :)

That's weird, but there's really nothing you can do about it unless you have insurance. Otterbox nor Apple cover cracked iPhones unless its under Apple Care. I guess just take it to an apple store and see if you can get it fixed free. Sometimes they're nice. Just be glad its the back of the phone and not the front.

Just buy a new back glass you would have to make sure it fits for your phone because Iphone 4 AT&T are different from the 4 verizon, sprint (cdma) and 4s. It takes two minutes. You also have the option to customize your iphone with different colors check out the website at idope.me
