OK, I am one of the millions of people wanting try to get the iPhone on Verizon Wireless. I have updated my mom on my plan to cheat and upgrade for me. I just upgraded to a Droid 2 in August, and don't have an upgrade until next April. So instead of paying the $599, I want to add a line so I can get it for $199, assuming that I get the phone at upgrade price when I add a line. So, ...

1. Will my payment change at all? I got the best data plan when I upgraded to my droid 2. We currently have 3 lines and I don't know if I have a family plan or anything, but I do have unlimited texts and 1400 minutes shared between our 3 lines. My mom said she pays about $45/month for my line.

2. I also had a question about the 3g iPad. I am currently writing this on an iPad and have fallen in love with it! If I were to buy an iPad, 3g on Verizon, would I have to carry that stupid box mi-fi thing in my pocket at all times? If not, why would I buy that? And does anyone know how much it is a month?

If you add a line, you will have to add an additional data plan. Oh, btw, don't even think of trying to sell the droid. At least not for use on Verizon. Unless you replace it on that line with another Verion phone, it's ESN is not clean.



You must carry the mifi in order to use Verizon 3g on an iPad. The plans are $20/month for 1gb, $35 for 3gb and $50 for 5gb. The plans are all month to month.



You're wasting your money with the iPhone. What are you going to do in June if there's a new iPhone? How about the following June when the next major iPhone upgrade is expected?

2) You can't buy 3G iPad on Verizon. You have to buy a WiFi iPad with a MiFi 3G hotspot. Presumably later in the year there will be a CDMA 3G version of iPad, but not yet.
