Which is the best option for internet surfing on a smartphone ? Also is it possible to use Internet Explorer 6 for surfing on these smart phones ?

The ones I am considering are - Nokia E71 ; Blackberry Bold and Apple iPhone (obviously won't run IE 6)

There are a few issues. By best browsing, im assuming you are talking about support for the browser.

There are very few nokia n series phones with great browsers. The n95, n82, n96 support flash light embedded in the browser.

However, nearly every e series and n series nokia have the ability to install a third party internet browser that has embedded flash.

You cannot install any actual computer browser on a phone. The only phones that have internet explorer are windows mobile phones.

The e71 has the standard html only nokia browser.. but you can install quite a few other browsers: opera mobile and skyfire for example. same is true with the e90.

Although im a nokia fan, im going to say pass on the e71. The keys are small, short battery life, terrible call quality, and dropped calls plague it.

The e90 is a nice phone, but its very thick and heavy. Nokia announced the e90 successor this morning at 03:15, the e97. The e97 has embedded flash in the internet browser. The rumor is that its due for production and sale in mid-late 09, and will actually be cheaper then the e90 is now.

now on personal preferance. It would be fantastic for nokia to adobt the trackball on blackberrys. I do not care for the dpad when navigating on my e51 or n95-3, because it skips a few links that are hard to get too.

I'm actually looking for such a phone too. I surveyed the E71 and decided that the keys are much too small... you'd always be pressing the wrong keys.

The IPhone is great and all but i think too many people already have it that its lost its novelty. You can always download opera mini so that the web looks the same on the phone as it does on the pc.

Im actually very inclined to the Blackberry Bold and will be getting it myself. It's a top notch machine and great for data keeping, texting and surfing.

Good luck!

The HTC Touch HD is great if you don't need North American 3G. The Nokia N97 looks promising for early 2009. The BB Storm and Samsung Omnia i900 are decent if you are on CDMA. If you are on GSM there is the Samsung Armani (F480), LG Prada, LG Prada II, HTC Touch Diamond, HTC TOuch Diamond Pro, Nokia N96, Nokia N95.

The best phones currently on the market are Nokia (N or E serie), iPhone and Motorola.

Nokia and iPhone are very durable, user friendly and simply good phones. iPhone has also great number of applications. Both have good cameras and great sound.

If I were you I would choose between Nokia and iPhone. Which one? I really do not know as they are both good.

I'm going to go with the Iphone. Definitely worth the money you are paying. Pretty sure you can use IE on it. Look around and you'll find some good prices.
