I just updated my iPhone to iOS 7 and I noticed in the notification center that the weather wasn't showing up. I know it's only supposed to be a written statement, but that's not showing up at all. I didn't see it in settings either. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

The same thing happened to me! If your weather app was in a folder when you downloaded iOS 7, then remove the app from the folder. After I did that, it showed up! It must not have been able to find the app before or something.

I am a little lost? When I swipe down from the top bar that is what we are calling notification center, right? I REALLY miss having weather in there. I did have the Apple Weather app in a folder, but I just moved it out. When I swipe down I don't see any information other than today, and a reminder about 4 events for tomorrow. At the very bottom I see a link to Yahoo! weather, but when I click that it goes to a Yahoo! homepage that has weather buried on it somewhere. Please don't tell me that Apple removed weather from the notifications area?

I have an iPhone 5s on 7.11 and the Weather/Location Service have a tendency not to update. I can be 25 miles away and it is still showing my home city. Yes, Location Service, Data, LTE, Data Roaming is on. I also have Wifi ON at home but when I'm on the road it doesn't matter. Toggling Location Service Off/On, Airplane mode - none of those work. The only way to get it working correctly is to reboot the phone (just turn off then on, not hard reset). Very annoying. Not sure if this is a Yahoo weather app problem or iOS 7.1.1 problem. I know both will be pointing fingers at each other.

I've got the very same problem with my iPhone 5 and I've tried all the suggestions. I don't have any calendar entries for today and nothing at all shows in today's calendar entry. I did try resetting the phone (making sure it was just the settings and not the data!) and this has resulted in the words No Events now showing under Calendar, but still no weather information although the stock information is shown.

The funny thing is that my iPad 4, which I upgraded at the same time, shows the weather but no stock info! I noticed that I'd not installed the Yahoo Stock app on the iPad and wondered if this was the problem there so I've now done this, stopped and restarted the iPad, but still no stock information showing (although the weather is).

I originally could only see the date in the "Today" view, but a reset fixed most of the issues, except for weather. I had the same issue as others but none of the fixes that were noted worked (unless I missed it). First, make sure weather is turned on in location services, then go to the Weather app. Mine had my city listed twice, w/ the first not displaying the temperature. It’s the only city listing that I couldn’t remove. If you look at the bottom of the screen, after the last city listed, you’ll see the Weather Channel and Yahoo Weather logos – click on the Yahoo logo and it will open up Yahoo in Safari and you’ll get a prompt to allow Yahoo access to your location – select yes, then go back to the weather app. After a few seconds, the temperature will display (assuming your issue is the same as mine). Now, when you pull down the notification center, weather will show up in the Today panel.

Further to Corey's response...

If you find that the weather app location services is already activated after going to:

Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Weather

Try the following as this worked for me.

At the top of the Location Services is the toggle for ON/OFF of locations services as a whole. Turn it off, and then turn it back on. When I pulled up notification center afterwards the weather update was there. Hope this helps.

I tried all the various "fixes" and none of them work. I turned off location services and then turned it back on. I moved the app out of a folder. I checked to make sure I didn't have Yahoo weather app installed on my phone. I restarted my phone. the weather still doesn't show up in the notification center pull down.

I had the same problem and moving the weather app out of the folder did not help. I also had a copy of the Yahoo Weather app on my phone (which I LOVE !!) and after I deleted it, the weather showed up. I put the original weather app back into a folder and the forecast remained on the notification screen. I re-downloaded the Yahoo Weather and all is now good.

What I do not like about this solution is that it's documented by even Apple that having Location Services enabled for any given app drains the battery faster. Since iOS 7 itself drains the battery faster I don't need to add to it.

I hope apple puts the weather widget back soon. This is ridiculous.

Here's what I did. I deleted the any non-Apple weather app. I moved out the Weather app from a folder. I clicked on the weather app that came with Apple. I went to Settings-Location Services-Turned off the Weather-Turned off the location. Waited for a few seconds. Turned on the Location-Turned on the Weather app.

It worked for me so I hope it works for you.

Had the same problem and finally tried this. In one of my folders called utilities there was a weather app. Removed the app from the folder and it finally worked. Was able to return the weather app to the folder once it worked has been working ever since

Like Corey said, turn on the location services for the weather app. then go to settings > notification center and make sure today view and today summary are both turned on.

If location services are on, etc. — as described above — try this:

1. double tap the date — this should reveal the weather text.

2. tap weather text to launch the weather app

Just had the same issue! Found your question while looking for an answer when it hit me that the phone might not know where I am. I checked that and sure enough, it was off!

Go to: Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Find Weather, and turn it on.

Hope this helps!

I'm having the same issue except I have turned on location services and it still won't show up. Rebooted it about 3 times, still nothing.

Mine is doing the same thing. I opened the weather app, and see the problem, but don't know how to fix it. It's locating me in my county, not city, and it's not registering anything there. Just says my county name, and - - for the temp.

Toggling location services like John suggested helped me

The solutions offered here didn't work for me, but then I tried turning my iPhone 4S off and then on again. That fixed it! To turn the iPhone off, hold down the lock button (top-right on the phone) for a few seconds until the shutoff command is displayed. Swipe to turn it off. Turn the iPhone back on by pressing the lock button again.

I followed Brianne's instructions and it worked for me. I had placed the app in with other craptastic apps. Once I moved it out of the grouping and restarted my phone I was getting weather in the pull down. Thanks Brianne!

Toggling the "Today Summary" in Settings > Notification Center > Today Summary On/Off is what ultimately resolved it for me. I do miss the animated graphic as it appears as text under the date.

I've got the same problem...Corey's solution didn't change it.
