Hi I have a Nokia X6 on O2. I used to be able to connect to the internet and the OVI store but now when I try to connect to the internet it says Packet data: Packet data connection not available and then it says Web: unable to preform operation. I have called O2 and they have no answers for me. Any one else help?

Either your Internet Profiles are set to wifi or another provider (usually unlocked phones) or you have lost your Internet Profiles or some how changed it. Without this profiles you cannot connect so I presume all you are timing out when you try to connect.

You can call up customer services and request them t send the profiles again as a text message which you accept.

O2 have phone gurus who can easily request these for you.

But just to show on ( I would never show off) with a unlocked phone, if you put a new simcard in from a different network "3" in my case you automatically get sent the Internet Profiles for "3"

Say my phone was originally from O2 if i do not change the Internet Profile to3 I would receive calls text but no WWW until the Internet Profile was changed to 3.

the Internet Profile must be correct and match the simcard for the network you are on

I do not have an X6

but possibly youve turned your internet off by mistake go on to settings and connections ensure data received is allowed and data traffic is off, IT sounds as you dont have them on or have an internet allowance

X6 helps 2 varieties of information superhighway connection, first is by ability of GPRS and 2d is wireless. via default, you ought to use the GPRS of your telephone. GPRS is named as WAP centers or packet records centers in different international locations. wireless is once you connect a cabled information superhighway connection , say DSL, right into a router. It produces wave indicators that's the wave version of the internet connection on the cable. GPRS/Packet records use isn't unfastened, you should pay for it reckoning on your provider provider. wireless is unfastened, as long as you already know the thank you to apply it. in spite of the undeniable fact that, wireless demands the presence of wireless indicators, if there is none, then you definately won't be able to use wireless. GPRS connection, as long as you have the sign out of your provider provider, you ought to use it. to have the flexibility to apply GPRS connection, call your provider provider and that they are going to help you out the thank you to acquire settings. As for wireless, settings are got here across on the telephone via default yet you should manage issues then particularly if the wireless you perceived (you already know there's a wireless if the "tower" icon on your telephone looks) demands proxy handle, proxy port or sometimes, WLAN key.
