When will the next version of Android be Released?

Question

I am currently using a Droid X by Motorola. This summer I had downloaded the new major Android Improvement. Which completely changed the scheme and looks. I just barely downloaded and installed a new update today to Android Version 2.3.3. I just want to know when the next major release will be for Android?

Is it called Ice Cream Sandwich or Jelly Bean?

And if you know, what will the new upgrade offer? A new look? New features? etc.

Anyways, the latest android is android 2.3.6 and thats only for the google nexus s. The latest update is called ice cream sandwich and the update after ice cream sandwich is called jelly bean. So far, the next update is said to arrive during late october or early november when the google nexus prime arrives. Not much is said about the update look apart from hardware acceleration and no touch buttons on the bottom of the phones. In short, its starting to merge into honeycomb. The color of the interface will change again, and much more that hasn't been said yet.



Also, your phone doesn't have the latest android update. Instead its the latest update that motorola, google, and verizon pushed through.

well first off you dont even have the newest android lol the newest one is version 2.3.7 not 2.3.3 and the next major one will be android 4.0 which i believe is ice cream sandwich not alot is known about it yet other then googles nexus phone that comes out in the near future will have it on it

Hi.Go to phonescoop web site and look at the side of the page where it says NEW PHONES.Keep an eye on there for the newest android phones to come out
