Can you use a Nokia E71 unlocked phone for tracfone?

I hate the phones on tracfone. I want a nice phone not a cheap plastic piece of crap. I was wondering whether I can use a nokia E71 unlocked phone on tracfone?

Nope. Sorry, Tracfone locks down both the sims and phones from its lineup. You cannot use a non Trac sim with a Tracfone phone nor can you use a Tracfone sim in another gsm phone, even if it is unlocked.





Tracfone sims are MARRIED to the Tracfone phone they are activated on. And after that, they cannot be used even with other Tracfones. Let alone non Tracfone handsets like your Nokia.





I would go with Tmobile pay go or Air Voice Gsm (not well known but 10 cents a minute).

menu, tools, settings, general, security, phone and sim card, phone autolock period - select 'none', it will then ask for ur lock code. If u know the code and put it in, theres no reason why it wouldnt let u disable it. The default lock code is 12345 unless u changed it.
