Sidekick LX is better. Among other phones, I like the G1 and Sasmung Behold. If you need Sidekicks / G1 / Behold without contract cheaper, you can mail me or talk with me on Yahoo! My yahoo is ybhattdp@yahoo.com

Sidekick LX is bigger and easy to text. It's more durable than the Sidekick 2008. Sidekick LX has bigger display than the 2008. So I prefer Sidekick LX more than 2008.

extremely relies upon on what you desire. customization, a greater useful digicam. Or a greater show screen. the sidekick 08 suits greater handy on your pocket. the LX is a fatty. thats why I have been given the 08. yeah.

Hey!

I love my sidekick 08 i just got it a few weeks ago and its pretty much amazing!

Pros: -easy to text on keyboard, the keys are far enough away from each other so you can type pretty fast on it and its super easy! it also has its own 1-9 number settings on the top of the keyboard so that way you dont have to hold alt down and select a number

-IM which is great and you can be logged into aim, yahoo messenger, and windows msn at the same time, you can also hold group chats and up to 10 IM conversations. You get the IM's immidiately after the person on the other end sends them to you! Also the trackball flashes blue when you have a new IM, email, pic, or text message! You can change your status on all three IMs and add emoticons. You can also edit your contacts IM ring so you know who it is thats sending you an IM. Also when you scroll down to the IM feature it will say not connected if your not logged in but if you are logged in it will say how many of your contacts are online (thats for aim and windows live) but for yahoo it will say how many conversations your holding and if ur not holding any conversations it will say no conversations!

-Catalog...the catalog is awesome because you can get apps unfortunately you have to pay for them but its totally worth it. Theres a myspace app which is 1.99 a month (it just adds on automatically to ur t-mobile bill), theres picture apps, theres a photobucket and radar, app...all of the apps you have to pay for them except for the calculator which is free. Theres also ringtones in the apps. There set by genre and theres tons to choose from! There 2.49 each and you get a 5 second preview of the ringtone! :) Also in the catalog is wallpapers set by theme and screen savers which you can also preview. Almost everything in the catalog ranges from 2.49 to about 8 dollars but like i said its worth it because the apps are amazing!

Email: if you have messages it will show a preview of the message and whos it from and from which account.

If no messages it will say no unread messages. When you open your email it shows a welcome page which basically tells you how to set up your email. When you register the phone you get a t-mail account which can only be accessed from your sidekick and not on the computer. After you register for t-mail you can have up to three more email accounts. On mine i have my t-mail, my gmail, and my two yahoo accounts. It shows inbox, saced, drafts, sent, and trash. If nothing is in those folders it will say (empty). You can have your aim, aol, yahoo, gmail, lycos, juno and so many more emails it gives you a full list of about 10 email providers to chose from! You can also switch around the email tabs to make your accounts easier to find. Also you can pick the sound that you want to play when you get a new email!

Phone: phone takes you to dialing when you want to make a call. You can dial with your qwerty keyboard or use the trackball and scroll through the numbers. Its pretty simple to use! You can also add speed dial numbers, see your call logs, edit peoples numbers, change the ringtone, and get tips on making calls!

Myfaves: if you have myfaves it will show your recent activity with your contacts, such as emails sent, text messages sent, calls made, or IMs. You can also pick premade pics for your myfaves contacts or capture a pic and use it!

Phone messaging: in phone messaging theres a picture messaging tab and a text messaging tab.

In picture msging it will say inbox, drafts, sent, and trash. If theres an item in there it way say how many if not it will say (empty). You can send a new pic msg, record audio, delete msgs, find a msg, sort the msgs, set the sound when u recieve a pic msg, and it gives tips on sending pic msgs!

In txt msging it will say inbox, drafts, sent, and trash. If theres an item in there it will say how many, if not it will say (empty). You can send a new txt msg, reply to a txt, forward a text, call back a person who sent u a txt, add someone whos number isnt saved in ur address book, save the text to ur sim card, discard a msg, sort ur msgs, find a msg, set the ringtone when u recieve a txt, and tips on sending txt msgs!

Address book: the address book has photo caller id, and is sorted by last name. You can add a contact, edit a contact, assign ur contact to categories such as: family, friends, personal, coworker...etc...., u can add a contact to favorites, view the contact, sort ur contacts by first name a-z, first name z-a, or last name z-a, u can find a contact, u can copy a contact to ur sim card (which is suggested in case u get a new phone so that way u dont have to enter all the contacts in again), u can delete a contact, import sim contacts, look at labels and categories, and then it gives you tips on adding a contact! Also if you add a contacts IM screen name if you go to online now in ur address book it will say which contact is online and in what IM server it will
