I bought my wife a Blackberry Pearl from Sprint and everything worked fine for a while and then her call log and messages started to disappear. And occasional she is unable to receive calls. We took the phone to the Sprint store and they say it is a known issue and that Blackberry will issue a software update to fix the problem, but yet I've found nothing on RIM's or Sprint's website on this issue. Has anyone else had this issue or know anything about whats happening and how to fix it?

I don't use Sprint, but I do have a blackberry pearl.

With mine, messages disappear after one month consistently. However, my cousin had the same problem as you, and the people at the store said there is simply, "nothing you can do".

The only issue I have with mine is it being slow. It's slow when I go to open a message, and it's also slow when I add contacts, ect.

So, apparently, there isn't anything you can do. I would keep asking the people at the store, until there is a fix to it. I've heard of more people complaining of this same issue, and eventually they'll fix it.

Good luck! :)

mine has the same problem and i haven't even had it for a month yet! when you are adding a new contact to your phone, does it take forever to save? mine does and i have to end up re-starting it! i might take mine back because sprint has the 30 day thing, but if they would issue an update that would be great. i haven't heard anything about this. maybe you could e-mail blackberry and ask? they must have a contact us button on their website or something. do you like yours otherwise??

that surpassed off to me, yet it hasn't surpassed off in awhile because of the fact each and each evening i take the time to delete all my cache from the browser and e mail broswer. i additionally delete ALL my text cloth messages. it particularly is the only thank you to disencumber the area. :/
