IPhone 4 locked onto telus?

My co worker is selling his iPhone 4. It's locked onto telus but he said I can get it unlocked for 50 bucks.
I'm currently with koodo but I also have a telus sim card from my old phone.

Would the telus prepaid sim card work in a telus contract (paid off) iPhone?

YES telus phones work with telus sim card...

remember it has to be a micro sim card

Yes it will definitely work with a Telus micro sim.

It may work with a Koodo micro sim without unlocking. Try any Koodo micro sim in it to see if it works. No point in paying an extra $50 if you don't need to.

Of course, you can just use your Telus prepaid SIM in the iPhone, you won't have issue. If you wish to get it factory unlocked, you can mail this person ([e-mail]) who can help you with it.
