i recently got a cell phone bill for $500, my regular cell phone charge should be around fifty bucks. i called the company and they said apparently i used 1293 MB in one day. the account information says all that data was used at two o clock in the morning, when i was asleep. i dont have a data plan but i left my facebook and email open and on automatic sync for a couple days before i figured out how to turn mobile network off. this was the two days after i got my phone. the company said this amount of data usage should only be from streaming videos and such which i did not do. also when i got home i immediately turned on wifi on my phone and started doing stuff on wifi but my network was still on. so i dont understand why in the world my phone bill is $500 and the phone company is not letting up

This is why I stick to using internet on my laptop. It has wifi. I can use wifi for free. Phones should just be practical calling people, maybe texting. Who needs to be on facebook all day anyways.

I feel bad though obviously you weren't expecting this. Maybe they didn't explain how the data worked, try to use that fact for them to let up your bill. I would just get a new phone.

Any time ur on the Internet like facebopk without wifi your using your data. U need to find out how much data you have for a month. If you have AT&T I know if u call 611 they tell you how much data you have used and texting. Best of luck.

well.... if this is a smartphone... then you have to consider MORE than just Facebook and email... smartphones are constantly on the internet, unless data is turned off...

now you say this 1293MB (about 1GB) occured in 2 days.... and the agent is CORRECT... only streaming videos or some major heavy duty graphics and email attachments could have done this... in 2 days... it usually takes a typical iphone and android 15 days or so to get to 1GB... just wow!!!!!!!

so, the question remains... how did this occur.... Professionally... I would say I apologize and for a 470 credit, I can rerate this for you if you get a data plan right now.... On Yahoo Answers... I can say this (since Im not allowed to question this far on the phone).... If it wasnt you, then who got your cell phone??? :-)

there is the opportunity of having copies of your expenditures, in case you do no longer already. The numbers called could be on it. as properly, there could be the thank you to retrieve them via employing your telephone business enterprise. All of that information, based on the telephone, is held in data in the business enterprise. i comprehend as quickly as I have been given a clean telephone with Verizon, they only hit some numbers on the hot telephone and all of the information grew to become into transferred from the previous one. solid success!!
