I thinking of getting an iPhone 4 but I'm not sure if 3 mobile is any good regarding service and coverage. I live in Newcastle upon Tyne if that helps answer my coverage question.

My iPhone 4 is with Three and I am blown away by their service! I haven't enabled WiFi in an age, as my 3G is faster than my WiFi! I recently visited Durham and went to the outskirts of Newcastle and I had 3G coverage throughout - I was streaming a TV programme online with no problem!
With regards to coverage, as I've said above I got great coverage up around Newcastle and have faultless coverage locally where I live, however they have a very handy tool on their website here:
http://www.three.co.uk/Help_Support/Coverage
Type in your postcode and it'll tell you their coverage, but from what I can see when I searched for Newcastle upon Tyne just now, there is excellent 3G coverage throughout Newcastle!
Customer service is also great! I can highly recommend an iPhone 4 on Three!
If you need any further help, please ask! :)
Hope this has helped!

All the rumors about 3 having crappy network coverage are false, well atleast now they are anyways, they've improved their network coverage over the years and almost everywhere i go (And i travel all over the country with Stoke!) i have 4 to 5 bars of coverage, agree with the guy above me!
I was on pay as you go, but now got a Blackberry Torch 9800 with 3 £32 quid a month, so much better than an iPhone in my opinion but I'm just saying.
Best deals and best coverage, you'll be making right choice!

sure and no... Tmobile makes use of 1700/2100 bands for his or her 3G community... Iphones (maximum all telephones in the worldwide) helps the 2100, yet no longer the 1700 band... so, finding on the interior of reach tmobile tower your related to... if its giving off a 2100 sign, then you definately might have 3G.... if its giving off a 1700 sign, then you definately might have 2G... no 3G...
