I hope i can explain myself properly but here goes...

I have a Sony Ericsson K800i. As fellow users will know, delivery reports dont come through as text messages but as notices which then attach themselves to the message in the sent folder. Recently, i still get the notification pop up when a text is delivered but after ive read it, i cant get it back again because it doesnt attach itself to the sent message. I text someone a lot who has bad singnal coverage so sometimes they get my messages in the wrong order and i use my reports to know which one they are replying to but as i dont know which message the report is for, i get confused to what they have recieved.

Hope you got that!
anyway, anyone know why it has stopped working for this contact and how to get it working again?

thanks for any help you can give me!

that used to happen to me but not a lot. Try looking in the menu and seeing view status

i do not understand what you mean when you say "they attach themselves to the message in the sent folder".

EDIT:

ok what i'm figuring out here is- you mean to say when you send a message a copy of the same message is saved in the sent messages folder and after you get the delivery report the sent message shows the "envelope" symbol with a "tick mark" indicating that the message was delivered (and the "status" of the message shows the delivery report).

umm..well...sometimes it happens to me too but i dunno exactly why. mostly it happens when the network is too busy or something (eg. during the festive season, when people text a lot), and hence for that i would just suggest you to try restarting your phone and / or resetting the "settings". if it still don't work, i guess you could call up your provider's customer service and see if they could help.

good luck!

most sony ericssons dont work well with delivery reports, but before taking it back to the shop i suggest that you contact O2 as they may be able to get it activated for you
