On cingulars new text messaging plan it says you can get unlimited text messages to other cingular customers, and 200 for all other service carriers. And you can send pictures without the 50cents charge for each one. Is this correct or am i misunderstanding it? Please only answer if you know what your talking about.

Ok I work for Att/Cingular and the way the plan works is tricky...the plan you described is the 200 messaging starter plan for 4.99 and then you had the option to add unlimited mobile to mobile messaging for an additional 5.00, correct. The way the plan works is you can message (text, picture, video) any cingular customer unlimited amount and it will not count against your given 200 messages. However should you choose to text to a sprint customer that would come out of your package. You can add the 5.00 unlimited mobile to mobile messaging feature to any text messaging plan available. Also note that Cingular now has a unlimited messaging plan for only 19.99!

P.S. the .50 cent charge is for international picture messaging on a pay per use option.

I just got that plan, actually. There are plans that can change the number of texts you get to everyone else, but generally in the new ones it's unlimited for all Cingular users. However, you do get a limited number of pictures you can send. I'm pretty sure it's included in the 200, no matter who you're sending it to. The deal is $9.99 a month and only 10 cents for any extra messages.

I would give you the link to the page, but you have to put in your zipcode and everything for that link to work. If you want to check out the plans, go to www.cingular.com and go to "Shop" then "Services". After you've gotten to that page, there should be a big ad with the service, but if not, go to "View all services" under "Browse Services." It should be the first one and it says it's a limited time offer.

I think you are misunderstanding. I am also a Cingular customer and for me i have unlimited 200 text messages for just $5 a month. If you don't have that plan then its 10 cents a message regardless if it is incoming or outgoing. Hope that this helps.
