Many android phones are cheap and are good for facebook and internet. I got my Huawei Ascend Y600 for absolutely free from my phone service. It lags sometimes but it's reliable.
-Is it because of games? Android has minecraft, terraria, the walking dead
-Is it because of facetime? B**ch please, skype?hangouts?
-Is it because of Siri? Android browsers now have a voice search feature
-Is it because of safety from viruses? Android has anti-virus softwares and IOS is pretty strict and selfish when it comes to sharing and transfering files to another device.
-And now simplicity, I know android interfaces can be confusing but you'll eventually get used to it.

Main question:
-Why do many kids and teenagers favor iphones even though they can get an android phone which is cheaper and can also do a lot of things that an Iphone can?

Because preference, and iOS is a lot more stable than Android and is properly optimized for iPhone hardware. App quality on iOS is also much higher than Android; Google Play has a bunch of crap that isn't optimized for the however different hardware configurations there are for Android devices leading to poor performance. I'm glad you mentioned anti-virus for Android, because there is no need for that on iOS. Sharing files is easy on iOS too: you can get Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, or use Apple's iCloud Drive to share anything you want. Skype also runs better on iOS than on Android (I've tested it out too, so I know for a fact it runs better on iOS). I've used Android in the past, and while it's great for customization, I don't care for the customization aspect. I use my phone to get work done on the move, and iPhone lets me do that quicker than I can on Android with the reliability and simplicity I want and need.

iPhones are much easier to use. It was the first real phone to be centered around entertainment rather than just mostly phone/business stuff. Most of the first huge games were on the apple App Store before android App Store. Plus it's like an aesthetic thing or whatever, like iPhones are cooler than androids.

iPhones are the better phones at the end of the day, though Android phones through their many manufacturers coverage a wide customer base through low end, mid tier & high end phones. For instance that Huawei phone would be either low or mid tier.

-Games - yes, most app developers go with an iOS 1st, Android maybe/2nd approach

-FaceTime - yes, as it was the 1st integrated into a mobile OS & is available on a wide range of iOS & OS X products

-Siri - likely, oh & Siri is not a browser feature its another built into the OS virtual assistant, again the 1st of the major 3 to do this.

-Viruses - definitely. iOS is not prone to viruses therefore there is no need for anti-virus apps + there are 100s of ways to quickly transfer files now, apps, email, AirDrop, etc so that's a null point about "strict & selfish"

-Simplicity - again, definitely.

Android phones lag over time, updates don't get to the user the day they are released in most cases (or maybe never), the aforementioned viruses, build quality of most of them, performance, etc.

Cheap? Living in a cave it also cheap, but I dont want to do that. Iphones dont lag or crash, and are the best design.

its because iphones are advertised everywhere and they are the "thing" that "every one must have" it has nothing to do with proformance. they are just buying into ads.
