HTC hero can not send picture messages i have tried everything!?

I have an HTC hero, everything works apps, text all of it the only thing i am having really bad problems is sending picture messages, i have tried to change the settings, now the settings i have for the resolution up to size is 200k 500k and 1.2m even if i attach the picture it still says resizing picture to be able to send mms so it auto adjusts for it to fit in a MMS so i don't know why it would not send! but nothing i keep getting a stupid error envelope that the message is unable to send! i have tried everything i have tried taking pictures with low resolution within the size limit and nothing works, i have even tried using that handcent app it does not work! sprint is not much help so can anyone please please please PLEASE help me fix this issue with my htc hero picture message to be able to send picture messages? PLEASEEEE i have tried everything!!! i even tried turning off my wifi to send since i have heard some people this is what caused it not to send i have tried it with my wifi on it is just not working! please help! Call customer service at 888-211-4727. Don't call from your Hero, because they may ask you to remove the battery. I know you said Sprint hadn't been much help, but we can't see how your account is set up and look for issues from here. ya well ok on top it should have like a "eq" is tht isnt on then u dnt have 3g but if u do have it on then maybe try resetting it..for 1.5 go to settings secruties then go down to factory reset if u got 2.1 then go to privacy if tht doesnt work then u need a new fone of its ur service try a different area
