Hi,
I have N73 completely unlocked and has orange sim. I have 30 free min. every month but unfortunately i cannot use even one. whenever I tried making a video call it displays a message "video calls not supported by network". However when I tried calling orange they say there are no baars on your account and should work fine. Due to high efficiency of customer service, everytime i called them regarding this issue they have a different reason, however there are no baars on my account.
Does anyone know of any specific settings in how to make video calls on N73?
Your help will be greatly appreciated?
Thank you

Firstly a 2G sim card and 3G sim card look exactly the same, do we can dispel MrsC's answer.

Video calling is a supplementary service which has to be added to the account so it may not be barred, just not provisioned either. Are you definitely in 3G coverage, you must be in 3G coverage to be able to do Video calling.

There are no settings on the phone itself to change to enable VT (Video Telephony). the only thing I can think of is to check in the settings, network menu and make sure it isn't set to 900/1800. If it is change it to automatic and try again.

To see if you are in 3G coverage look on the phone, it will display a little 3G icon.

to activate video calling, there is no specific setting except to press the icon of video call with the telephone number of the other party. but this is only possible if the other party your calling has an option for that or his/her cellphone can do video call also. otherwise even if you have, you cannot make video call if the other has none.

per your message that you had called the customer service to inquire the problem and got different reasons/answers, it's better for you to bring it to them so they can entertain you well than phoning. coz some tel companies/carriers are just too lazy to give accurate answers over the phone.

-mine is doing good so far and got no problem whatever. though not of the same model.

have a look here. it may be that your sim card is not 3G.
