I've had one since I was 11 (I'm 13 now,) and in 2 months, my contract will be over and my parents want to take it away. I was looking for an iPhone specifically because I have lots of apple based media. I use and rely on it for emails, alarms, calendar, ect., but it seams my parents just don't care. Any advice is appreciated.

Show your parent how much you need a smartphone for your daily life (for studying not for play game, entertainment) . It is important to make them trust in you. Good luck

The fact that you have phone in the first place should have you thanking your parents. I got mine when I got my driver's license.

You could argue that it is your only *portable* music player and you use it to track homework due dates.

Purchase a smartphone soon face, you need these things, asks his parents, begs, gets on his knees and starts crying, then he will give a smartphone, I did it and it worked .... two kisses .....!
