How do you block calls on a Straight Talk phone?

I tried texting the 8888 and putting B and then a space and the number. I received a text saying action not allowed. How else can I block a call?

Depending on the Straight Talk phone that you have you can block calls from people that are not listed in your contacts list. This will not work on all phones but it will work on some of the older Straight Talk phones.



Go to Settings, Phone Settings, Security, enter your 4 digit unlock code, Restriction.



Then decide what restriction you want to set. If you set contacts, the only calls that will come thorough and that you can dial are people who are listed in your contacts list.

You can actually in fact block calls on straight talk phones. You just download an app.

Straight Talk recommends using the "Call Detector" application for Android phones (iPhone users, no love, sorry)



The app is free and you can upgrade, but the choice to Block calls is still available on the free version. It also pre-blocks a lot of unsolicated and pre-reported callers. Mark ex-boyfriends/girlfriends, former roommates, bill collectors (my favorite!) and the like.

You can't block calls on a Straight Talk phone.



As cheap as it is, Straight Talk is no frills.

On my Straight Talk LGL41C - Settings > Call > Call restrictions > Incoming calls > 1. Allow All

2. Contacts only 3. Block all - Choose Contacts only !!
