Why is my phone sending duplicate messages?

My friend’s phone occasionally sends duplicate messages when we’re texting. My phone is Apple and hers is Android. When I say duplicate, it’s exactly the same as the previous message she sent, and it’s sent at a random time between the message about to be duplicated, and the next message. Also it’s Text Messages.

She has no idea it’s happening. It’s been going on for about a year now and it gets annoying. If anyone knows anything about this or is having a similar problem please share anything you know.

Then again, she could totally be pranking me, but I don’t think that’s the case.

Thanks.

That usually happens on android devices when they send texts at 1 bar of service

Sounds like got a signal issue. If u lose signal when sending text it will send another when signal comes back in yo let u know it sent. If signal not the issue try taking battery out if able to, at least for a couple minutes then put back in. If cant remove battery try clearing dats n cache on the messaging app. Hope one these helps

Sometimes my tablet randomly glitches while I'm sending messages if my memory is full or nearly full.
