Hey! I'm getting a new phone tomorrow and getting rid of this crap iPhone!

I'm torn between the new lumia or Xperia! Both sound really good and I have mates who have one or the other! And they all say get this one they have!

What I'm people's opinions is the best?

I more for phones with more flexibility! The iPhone to me offers none of this! They are so limited!

At the moment I'm 49% Lumia and 51% Xperia!

Reason being is app support on lumia isn't that great I've heard from YouTube reviews! But they say lumia most of the time!
With the Xperia on Android OS it seems apps will be plentiful!

Which would you have? Or tried that you liked?

Both the Lumia 920 and the Sony Xperia Z their company's flagship phones and are amongst the top phones available right now.The Sony Xperia Z has a Quad Core processor which is much more faster than the Lumia 920's Dual Core processor. The Xperia Z has 2 GB RAM whereas the Lumia 920 has 1GB.So the Xperia Z should beat the Lumia 920 in gaming. But in overall UI performance the Lumia 920 seems better as the WP8 UI is very fluid. The Xperia has a larger screen with higher resolution and more pixel density than the Lumia 920.So photos and videos will appear sharper on the Xperia Z.Both phones have great build qualities, especially the Xperia Z.Both have great cameras but the Lumia 920 performs well in camera department because of features like Low Light Imaging,OIS,etc.

If you want larger/better screen, more processing power, better gaming and more apps get the Xperia Z,want better camera, more fluid interface get the Lumia 920..

Ok 2 things first App support is overrated as before the purchase or no phone NO App. An app usually is shortcut or link . A year after I am discovering Apps I could not live without.

Second, along with Bluetooth media sharing, there are 8 features that differentiate phones from iPhones http://finance.yahoo.com/news/8-things-the-iphone-5-still-can-t-do.html?desktop_view_default=true

The Lumia 920 is " Applesque" non expandable & fixed battery (the Lumia 820 not).. The Z only 'flaw' is a fixed battery.

Here they are side by side http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=5204&idPhone2=4967

The Z is Quad Core and the 920 is Dual Core

If having a Windows 8 is the preference and the 920 not be as 'flexible' you really should consider the Blackberry Z10

ok I lied about it being W8 but it is for me the BB 10 OS version of the 920

How the Nokia Premier did NOT have MicroSD expansion and a fixed battery when the 820 did is something I do not understand, as apart from those 2 omissions it is the best spec Windows 8 phone

With the XPERIA, you can always load a new OS since it's Android, not sure if you can do the same with WP8. On Android, you can also get new keyboards, launchers, lockscreens, to make it look like WP8 if you want to (or iPhone in that case).

it somewhat is all as much as you... in case you probably did no longer use android telephone till now, Lumia 920 is okay. yet once you're already accustomed to android and enjoy it, xperia will make you happy... believe me... because of the fact I truthfully have the two one in each of it.
