Samsung Fascinate problem..help please?

Im trying to hook up the samsung fascinate to my computer and when i did this in the bottom right it said the device is connected and ready to use,so i went to My computer and i did see the removable disk or what ever it said..and i clicked on it to try to open it up and view the contents so i could put them on the computer and when i tryed to open it it said some sort of error(im not sure what it was)but i unplugged it and i tryed connecting it again and now it doesnt even show up on the computer,so how can i get it to show up again? and how can i get it so i can view the contents of the in side of the phone?

go to settings. then go to manage applications then click DE-BUGGING or something like that. then connect your phone to your comp. and drop the notification bar and select SD card or something like that.

Try restarting, plugging it back in, and it should show up
