Galaxy S3 & Kies not communicating?

Question

I've tried everything to get Kies & my S3 to communicate with each other.
I have tried USB debugging, on & off
uninstalling Kies, reinstalling Kies,
installing Samsung_USB_driver updates
The ports are USB 2.0
the OS is running Windows 7 32 bit.
Kies is 2.5.3.13033_7
The cable is the Samsung one from the box

Windows installs drivers then says it can't find CDC Serial and SAMSUNG_Android
So I installed Samsung_USB_driver updates - no effect

All I want to do, is back up my phone and I am at my wits end with this!

You could do what I did.



just update and back up via Kies Air. No more USB cables!

I even have recently experienced the comparable with my SGS2 - it has constantly related advantageous till recently. even though it relatively is a various telephone the answer could artwork. circulate into restoration mode - change off the telephone, then concurrently press Vol Up key, living house Key & means button. as quickly as in restoration mode sparkling the cache, then reboot.
