Here's a review of mine from another website, comparing the HTC Rezound (MY vote for best phone, as of Januray 2012) with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus (< everyone's new favorite):

So far the HTC Rezound is ahead with:

~Better cameras, front and back- 8Mp rear (comp to GN's 5) & 2.0Mp front (comp to GN's 1.5)

~Bigger processor- 1.5GHz Dual-core (comp to GN's 1.2) Noticeable? Probably not, but still.

~Super LCD (S-LED) screen (comp to GN's AMOLED)

~Finer, sharper 720p HD screen- 342 pixels/inch (comp top GN's 316 pixels/inch 720p)-- noticeable? Probably not, but a spec is a spec is a spec

~SD card expansion, up to 32GB card (comp to GN's lack of SD card...what??? really? Sounds rather iPhone-ish. Hmm.)

~A probably useless feature called "Beats" which supposedly increases the bass of your music. So that's what Dr Dre does nowadays for income, makes deals with cell phone manfacturers...

~A free set of ear bud headphones that cost $99 to buy

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Nexus is ahead with:

~ 3/10" bigger screen (less than the thickness of a pencil...not an impressive advantage)

~100-200mAh of battery life, depending on which spec list you look at (which many realtime testers have said the Rez still lasts longer despite)

~Thinner (matters to some people, not to others)

~Android 4.0 ICS (again, not impressive since HTC promises the Rez will have it too soon, then what bragging rights will GN have? Thought so.)

~ lighter (which can be a negative, depends on your perspective)

If you ask me, it's plain which phone comes out on top. They are both fanatstic, top of the line phones, but which one has more "aheads" than the other? Granted, most of these may be relatively unnoticeable from one to the next...but if you're a spec-happy phone buyer you'll choose the Rezound. If you're a HTC hater, you'll swear the GN is the better beast. And if trends and status symbols matter to you, you'll pick neither and instead buy an iPhone because you want to be able to tell people you have an "iPhone".

Verizon has a bunch of killer 4G LTE phones, and the speeds are lightning fast. Apple won't have a 4G LTE phone until at least Q3 2012, if then. Also, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has Android's newest OS, called Ice Cream Sandwich. The Nexus also has a NFC chip, allowing to pay for things by simply waving your phone past the checkout register at many retailers, which is a quickly-developing technology already in the US. iPhones are good phones, too, but I believe Apple is really trailing the rest of the phone manufacturers in these latest technologies.

If you're like me, your new phone is gonna have to last you for 2 years before getting another. Think about it carefully!
