Internet traffic does not work like this, you are left as a slave to the data the site loads, if data on the site is compressed then it is, if it isn't and the phone supports the data type you are a slave to whatever loads, you also can very rarely install a different browser to the phone you own unless it is a smartphone (palm centro, blackberry, Wing). Luckily you can very often turn off certain enhancements to reduce the types of data the browser loads such as images or mobile java.

Try Opera web browser. It's the best out there. When you're online, set opera so it doesn't show pictures or play music files so it doesn't download too much data.
