iv got a Nokia 5310 unlocked with an o2 payg sim in it. im wanting to change my sim to a orange payg sim. but when i put the orange sim in my phone its saying it cant allow the sim or something. now i know for a fact the phone is unlocked cos the guy at carphone wearhouse told me it was. and iv read up about the phone and it can take any network. iv bought 2 orange payg sim cards and the phone comes up with the same old "this sim isn't aloud or something like that. the phone is fine with any other sim. it's really getting up my grill :@

Hi 1st of all has the orange payg sim been registered with orange ? if it hasnt you have to phone up orange & register the sim for the phone i had to this when i bought a new orange payg sim after i'd registred the sim card then it worked in any unlocked phone what i would advise is go to the carfone warehouse & explain the problem or go into an orange store & ask if they can help you ! just an extra bit of info for you when you've got the orange sim working in the phone what you then need to do is get the settings from either the orange shop or there website for the internet & mms so that you can still send & recieve picture messages/ videos etc ... hope this info helps

If you bought it on o2 network then it is deffinatly unlocked because all the phones on o2 are unlocked.. but i cant quite understand why it wont work with orange.. maybe its a 3g sim card or something and the 5310 isnt a 3g.. wel if i was you take it back to the shop and ask them about it and they will sort it for you.. but tbh if i was you id stick with o2, miles cheaper and you getter better free stuff like texts and bonuses, o2 actualy apreciate there customers unlike other networks.

Just activate the "silent" profile.Press the on/off button for once until you see a POP up menu on the screen. Then tap the" Silent ".
