Hello, I own a LGVX9800 and I recently reviewed the new Helio Ocean, and I really like it. I only like QWERTY keyboard phones. Anyways, I wanted to know would it cost any money to cancel my contract with Verzion so I can switch over to Helio, and if so how much will it cost ?!? Or do I need to wait until my contract is over (September) ?

Allow me to clear up any confusion. First, don't even speculate that you have a prorated early termination fee (ETF) since your contract end date is in September.

Those variable contracts were launched after September of 2006 & would not impact your existing agreement. Therefore the standard ETF will be $175 + tax.

Have you compared the differences of the "V" to the upgraded version the Lg EnV (9900) and better than the Helio phone? Check out the pricing for it at verizon's website with specs there.

Secondly, the Helio Ocean is a "nice" looking phone. But, aesthics aside it still running upon the nefarious Sprint-Nextel network. Anyone in the wireless industry including their former CEOs are leaving, so why would you want to join an organization like that.

Even upper management does not have the confidence in the product, how can you?

Check out the wireless industry papers for further impartial feedback & make your own conclusions.

Also beware of their pricing & suspect coverage. Links for further investigation is given.

It will be $200 , why would you wanna go with Helio they are even more expensive than Verizon and the phones are on the Sprint network which sucks! Oh and the customer swervice sucks , I had helio for about 2 weeks, before I realized that someone had stolen my info and set up and account with them . WHAT A PAIN.... I coulden't even get a customer service rep that spoke clear english clearley.

Verizon offers a pro rated cancellation fee.. the longer you have your phone the less you will pay in cancelations....
