Personal experience told me that 1Gb is more than enough for light gaming (I used my mobile as a tethering hotspot and played RO on my laptop) plus heavy web browsing with no video streaming.

My mum buys a monthly data plan with 350Mb and she uses Facebook, Whatsapp, Viber etc pretty frequently, including uploading a handful of photos on Whatsapp, a few minutes of Skype video calls (emphasis on FEW, maybe 4-5 minutes), watching a couple of videos on Facebook and she usually has data left before the month runs out.

I'm willing to bet that 700Mb should be good enough for you.

Facebook just the app works on 110 mb alone, not including the updates. Same with cmcuch of the other social sites when they send notifications. Surfing can vary depending on what your doing for example watch a video, or steaming music can use up a lot of data. I basically use in a month about 1 gb but i use mainly wifi. If i were you ask the carrier if its possible to adjust the plan or are you stuck with just that 700mb. Avoid overage charges. Can be expensive when they charge .05 to .25 per kb when your over the plan.

I'm a pretty light user of data, and am on a 1gig plan, and whenever I'm home i piggyback with wifi, and use pretty much all my data each month

Hi, this will depend entirely on your usage and configuration. I recommend you check your data usage stats (Settings > Data usage) to have a better idea of how much mobile network data you've recently been consuming. - Andrés
