ok so I want to switch phone services from sprint. I have looked at the prices and family plans and I like At&t and Verizon wireless. I wan't to know which one you like better. Which has the best service, and which one does not give a lot of hidden fees? The reason I am leaving sprint is because they gave us a lot of hidden fees. Which ones have good phones that don't require an expensive special plan? Please be honest and I would prefer you tell me information if you have been with these companies for over 1 month. Or if you are like an expert on phones thats ok too....
Thank You!

Best service = Verizon, hands down!

I have used verizon for over 5 years and I have never had a single drop call! It's amazing. I've lived in a community where people complain that they don't get signals, but my phone worked just fine whenever I needed it.

I also have tons of friends who switched out of Verizon so they could use their iPhones with AT&T. But now they all complain about their drop calls ALL THE TIME.

I'd say if there's an emergency, you should be able to rely on your phone. Verizon could seem a little pricey to some, but it's totally worth it.

(man, i should get some commission from verizon for writing all this out, haha)

Trust me though, you can't go wrong with verizon. and they have a great selection of phones.

I love Verizon. I have had Verizon for 6 years and have not had a problem yet. The service is great. Wherever i go i always have service. Its very rare that i dont have any service so i like that. I love the phone options as well. So many phones to choose from. The people who work there are VERY helpful. If you have a problem they are happy or trained to be happy to help out. Every family member can have their own phone with amazing features. Verizon has a good phones that dont require a lot. No hidden fees. So i think Verizon is the best choice. I will never switch my phone company!!!

I've had both. I was pleased with Verizon's coverage. It has some decent phones (as well as some crappy ones). I switched to AT&T for the iPhone. In my area, the coverage is comparable. This is not true in all areas AT&T's network is seriously stressed because of iPhone usage. In some areas of the country, the coverage is horrible. Check this out in your area before considering AT&T.

My bill is less with the iPhone than it was with Verizon and the Q. I find the AT&T employees nicer and far better trained than Verizon's. I've never experienced "hidden charges" with any carrier (and I've had 5 including Sprint). Usually, "hidden charges" mean you didn't read all the fine print.

Know that both AT&T and Verizon require data plans with smart phones. If you go to either web site and do mock transactions with phones that interest you, you'll see whether the phones you like require a data plan.

I don't have at&t, but I think verizon is okay based on the look of the phone and the deal you can get for texting and calling. Be wise on what you want.

We were with Verizon for a while. We switched to Cingular cause my (now ex) said he wasn't getting calls at work but others he knew who had Cingular were.

Cingular became AT&T.

I can't say I have had any real problems with AT&T. Even with moving and having a phone break they've been pretty good and they have been good about reviewing my service and finding me a better deal when my circumstances changed.

First off I agree with you about switching from Sprint. They SUCK!! Their customer service and signal service SUCKS!!

I have AT&T and they are so much better than Verizon, especially around here (San Antonio). I ALWAYS have signal no matter where I am which is something I didn't always have. and Verizon is more expensive than AT&T.

And I'll also provide links to coverage maps for both copmanies so you can see street level coverage!

Good luck!

Both companies have about the same features and pricing. It is best if you were to talk to people in your area who have either service and see how they like it instead of asking people who live hundreds of miles from you.

DEFINTLY verizon. They have the best phones. At&t DON"T. And verizon service is flawless. My aunt didn't get service with verizon cause she lives in a ditch.Under a hill. she hardly got service. But now when i go to her house i get good service!! Trust me verizon is the way to go!

Both are pretty much the same so ask your friends because a lot of companies will offer a service where you can txt for free to others on the same network.
