I want a new phone, but my parents wont budge!!!?

I have the moto kraze, i HATE IT. the touch keyboard sucks, and the phone will sometimes randomly turn off on me, so i have to take the battery out, and put it back in. then turn it on. I have unlimited txting, after i had to go over the 250 txt a month. I have internet and tv on it(only cause of my birthday) My parents wont let me get a new phone, because they think its a good phone anyway. My dad works for a non profit organization which means we get good deals on cell phones. :) from verizon. My phone honestly is not a good one, it will randomly turn off, it will glitch sometimes, there are times where it acted kind of weird with me. i hate txting because of the flip side is in the way of me txting. so txting is awkard for me. Im 16 i wont get a job until this summer :( I told them i would do anything for the moto droid!!! or the samsung rumor, whatever that phone is that has an app for FB and has a full keyboard and might have touch screen. How do I convince them, its hard to convince my parents!

I know it doesn't sound appealing, but it will work. Especially if you are getting bad grades at school, or anything like that. Trust me.



Write an essay of why you deserve/need a new phone.



1st Paragraph: Introduction: Use a REALLY good grabber. Thesis: Ex. I need a new phone because it's hard to reach you when..., I think i'm responsible and my communication skills will improve with you... etc. Maybe even include a couple phones you might want, and say you'll pay half-way or something. Odds are, they'll be impressed and maybe just go buy you a phone that day.



2nd Paragraph-4th Paragraph: LOTS of details!!!



5th Paragraph: Conclusion: Leave it off with something that makes them want them to buy you a new one sooo bad. Like maybe: If you get me this phone, I PROMISE to you that I will... or our communication problems will be solved because.... etc. you get the point.



I'm sure you're parents will be impressed and they will talk to you about it.



Another idea: Make a list of phones that you might want for Christmas. Research them, and tell them how you will use it wisely and not break it, yada yada yada. Talking always works too :)

By the way, if your parents are worried about the price, talk to them and see if they personally now somebody that owns a Verizon store. Seriously! Because my mom's brother owns an AT&T store, and he got me an $100 phone for $30! Consider it :)

Dont go after the droid.. the monthly plan comes out to $105 per month. Thats a lot of money for 1 phone... if you ask me people who get it and pay that much are crazy and shouldnt have a phone... they waste their money. I would suggest the Samsung Rogue? Its a touchscreen and has a qwerty keyboard. Ive heard its a good phone and has a smooth touchscreen or the EV Touch my brother has it and its pretty nice, not bad. It flips open for the keyboard. But try to stay away from smartphones and blackberries that require the $30 data plan
