In my opinion, the iPhone 4 & 4S is totally overrated and used by especially younger people as a "trending" brand. Most people say the iPhone is the best phone in the world, because, it is expensive and such; but I bet 3 in 5 people have never compared the tech specs between the iPhone 4 and the SGS2.

I have had both phones myself. And all I can say is, look at the tech specs, research about both phones, watch reviews & ask questions before deciding what phone to get.

A few pros for the SGS2:

- 8 MP Camera

- Slim

- Very Light

- Kies wireless syncing

- Android (Open Source OS)

- Nice screen size

- Super Amoled Plus (Better than Retina)

- You can root and load custom roms on the phone

iPhone 4s Pros:

- Metal frame

- Glass display and back

- Can be Jailbreaked

- Siri

I am not a "Apple-hater" but I am just saying that, with the iPhone 4S or 4, you are very limited in doing things, like customizing and such. Android is one of the best OS's in the world; it is highly customizable where as the iOS is not.

Go to websites that review and compare these two phones or go to YouTube. A lot of people are going to tell you that the SGS2 is the better. And im not saying that the iPhone 4/4S sucks, I am just saying that it is VERY overrated.

Stay with T-Mobile and get the Samsung Galaxy S II.

Sprints internet is extrmely slow with the 4s while the other carriers are way faster with the 4s. Just stay with tmobile because the galaxy s2 has the same specs as the 4s but has a bigger screen and is on 4g.

I had that issue for a very long time, finally, bought a Galaxy S II for the reasons I'll clarify.

1- Stronger hardware: Galaxy 1.2 GHz 1 GB ram splashes the 4s 1.0 GHz 512 Ram.

2- Galaxy S II software is called Android, powered by google, which is used by a broad range of smart phones ( HTC - Motorolla - LG etc...) Therefore, more popular and has way too many applications, with 58% of them free, while iPhone got only 28% free.

3- Better Screen. Galaxy S II has a 4.3 Super AMOLED screen, while iPhone 4s has only 3.5 screen.

4- Stronger build. There is a Youtube video shows a fall of iPhone and Galaxy S II from the same height, the iPhone gets its screen smashed, while Galaxy S II holds its respect.

5- Galaxy S II already "jailbroken" you can download whatever you want without having to jailbreak, because it is already done.

6- MOST IMPORTANT, GALAXY S II supports Flash, so you can have a richer experience of web surfing, with a computer-like screen.

Finally, My choice was Galaxy S II, but I never said iPhone is a bad phone, versa, I am an Apple former user, and liked it a lot, so, whichever you choose, will be a great Phone ;)

PS. Have you seen the new (expected to arrive soon) Nokia Smartphones? heard they are High end ones, with a firm Hardware, and cutting edge software.

With iphone you do not get Adobe Flash which is required for proper viewing of many websites, plus you cannot expand memory with iphone. Even Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple says good things about Android. Check out this article:

And despite what he says Android is easy for anyone, he had to say SOMETHING nice about Apple lol.

The Samsung Galaxy S II is FAR MORE advanced than iPhone 4S. An iPhone is a closed wall garden with tight limits on what you can do with it.

Any Android phone gives you SO much options. You get a customizable home screen with widgets, live wallpapers and much more. On Android, everything you need is right there on your home screen. iPhone users are forced to flip through pages and pages of app lists and folders to locate and launch each app. For example, if you wanted to check the forecast, you would have to find the app, launch it, and then wait for it to load. With Android, all of that information can be displayed directly on your home screen, never more than a finger swipe away.

Android has the best notification system that even Apple had no choice but to concede their style, the pop up kind, and imitate Android.

You can also install custom roms on Android that give you a COMPLETELY NEW experience. Sometimes, it's like using a new phone. On iPhone, you can jailbreak it but the overall experience is the same. You're still stuck with the same exact interface.

The SGSII is the obvious choice.
